素敵なビジターがM&M British Ballroom Danceを訪れてくれました✨
「岸ダンスカンパニー」オーナーの岸はやと先生と岸さつき先生です✨
岸先生カップルとの出会いは、私達がまだイギリスに住んでおり、夏休みにホリデーで実家に帰国している時にダンススクールの面接でお会いしました！
日本に拠点を移そうと考えていた時期で、全く日本語が喋れないマットを雇ってくれるダンススタジオを探していました！
全く知識が無で、とにかく実家の近くのスタジオを調べ、イギリスから国際電話でアポを取ったのを覚えてます。
もしこの面接でどこも雇ってくれなかったら日本生活は諦めようね。
と2人で話してました。
かなり面接をし、そこで唯一考えてくれたスクールに岸先生ご夫妻がいらっしゃいました！そこのスクールのオーナーが「う〜ん…」と検討されている時、岸先生はオーナーの隣でマットをみてくれ、オーナーに「雇ってあげようよ。」と交渉してくれたのを今でもハッキリと覚えています✨
本当に感謝してもしきれないお二人なんです‼️
そのお二人が昨夜スタジオを訪れてくださり、本当に嬉しかったです✨😭✨
私達のダンスライフスタートからサポートしてくれています‼️
また必ずご飯行きましょうね！

Lovely visitor part3
Last night we had another lovely visitor to the studio, Hayato Kishi and Satsuki couple 😊 They are owners of “ Kishi dance company “
We first met back in January 2006.
At that time we hadn’t yet moved to Japan.
We were looking at the possibility of working at a ballroom dance school...
Step Joy was one of the schools we visited. We were seriously considering moving to japan but if no dance school would hire Matt, we couldn’t possibly live in japan.
Out of the 4 or 5 schools we visited, Step Joy was the only one to consider giving Matt an opportunity. Both Hayato and Satsuki were working at Step Joy. The owner wasn’t sure if he wanted to hire Matt...Hayato was the one to say to the owner “ Let’s hire him”
I remember vividly✨
We are so grateful to them both!
If he hadn’t said anything, the owner probably wouldn’t have offered a job and we wouldn’t have moved to Japan!
They’ve known us since the day we started our ballroom career! Again, thank you for making the journey last night! See you both very soon!!
